Happiness means so many different things to many people. Below I have
stated what I have found to be the top ten of the meaning for
happiness;
Happiness is when what you think, what you say, and what you do are in harmony.
Happiness is that state of consciousness which proceeds from the achievement of one's values.
Happiness is something that you are and it comes from the way you think.
Happiness is essentially a state of going somewhere, wholeheartedly, one-directionally, without regret or reservation.
Happiness is not a reward - it is a consequence.
Happiness is different from pleasure. Happiness has something to do with struggling and enduring and accomplishing.
Happiness is the meaning and the purpose of life, the whole aim and end of human existence.
Happiness is not something you experience, it's something you remember.
Happiness is not a station you arrive at, but a manner of travelling.
Happiness is the spiritual experience of living every minute with love, grace and gratitude.
The two for me are happiness is something that you are and it comes from the way you think and happiness is not something you experience, it's something you remember. I cant pick one of the two but its definitely the way I think that makes me happy and memories I make.
Which ones of the definition or close to the meaning of happiness is for you?
I feel that happiness is key to everything. If your in work and happy its contagious and spreads amongst your colleagues. When walking down the street and you smile to passer byers or people serving you across the counter, they smile back at you. A smile is contagious and spreads like wild fire. Even when people are sad. make them smile and its a quick pick me up. It doesn't cost you anything and makes a difference to someone even if its for a couple of seconds in their day.
Happiness can be cause with love, friends, family, your job, a new car, a new outfit, your favourite cooked meal, holidays, occasions, a new home, starting up and running a successful new business, day trips to even simpler things like having a ly in on a Sunday, the rain has stopped and the sun has started to shine, a celebrity has got married, your bank balance is higher than you thought, your hair looks nice, you've lost a couple of pounds in weight or even your favourite song has come on the radio.
It might be huge things in your life that make you happy or the smallest of things but when your happy, enjoy it and encourage others to be also.
