A New York City university scientist claims that planet earth has entered part of the galaxy that he calls intergalactic danger zone. “The planet Earth is known to have capabilities to support life, however, its history is punctuated by claims of extinction”, says the scientist. According to him, this part of the galaxy that the earth traverses once every 300 million years could be part of the explanation of historical distinction of some known animal lifes. The scientist does not come out clear on what we expect now that the phase is once more here with us. Mr Rampino further explains that this danger disc can cause the earth to heat up causing eruption and further drifting of the continents.
