Sometimes its heart-breaking to follow the news of how each day innocent Kenyans pay the ultimate price due to all clear failure of our security apparatus and negligence on part of those who are supposed to protect them. Each day an explosive goes, a innocent kenyan looses life or gets incapacitated. Every time you hear of an attack, tens of families goes to bed distressed; having lost their loved ones, property or both.
But what do we get as response from those responsible for ensuring Kenyans are secure?
First they always try and hide the truth. They will lie on the number of victims so that those not affected are convinced the situation is not as serious, then they get an excuse or it lay blame on somebody or situation and quickly our politicians politicize it so that the truth is is lost on kenyans minds. This is hypocrasy of highest order on government mandated to secure the people who elected them.
Am particularly moved by LAMU and Mandera incidences. On Mpeketoni, Lamu issues the trend had it. The truth hidden, political networks alluded to be behind the killings, then Land issue was added. This was despite al shabab claiming responsibility and actually the residents asserting to it. Now the most recent Ramu, mandera attacks. Honestly, the two tribes ; Garre and Degodia, what qualifies it to be another politically instigated mayhem? ok, am just wondering loudly but, if we always make excuses when shall we really change the situation? Our security apparatus are always seen intervening after the damage is done, then the obvious follows ...EXCUSES.
